ance Fitness is a phenomenon that has captivated the hearts, souls, and minds of countless people around the world. The Dance Trance program is a big part of the dance fitness culture and has grown to include studios in 7 states. Dance Trance has taken the dance fitness experience to a new level by adding funk, Latin, Hip-Hop and jazz together to create an incredible work out.
One of the goals of the Dance Trance Studio is to enlighten students by letting them experience different forms of dance with instructors that teach in a different style. The Groove Tour was created by Kevin Maddox (Culture Shock Atlanta) and Jay Handline for this very reason. To expose students to something shockingly fun, different and new.
In 2002, Kevin and Jay pulled together Rendezvous 2002 to The Bahamas. This was our first joint venture to bring different dance cultures together. The students went crazy and their enthusiasm helped to take this annual event to a whole new level.
This year, we changed the name of the getaway to Groove Tour and sailed the Caribbean seas down to the Grand Cayman Islands and Mexico. It just keeps getting bigger, longer and better! We were joined by other internationally re-knowned presenters (Kim Sims- Battiste and Michelle Lemay). This was the best trip yet.
Now it’s time to prepare for Groove Tour 2024. Yep, that’s right. It’s that time again … and you’re invited! In 2024, we’ll be grooving down to sunny Jamaica and staying at the exquisite Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort for 5-days and 4-nights. The location is spectacular and the classes we are offering are phenomenal. This is going to be the best event that we’ve ever held and you don’t want to miss it.
Keep in mind, our Dance Fitness Excursions are open to anyone who wants to meet and interact with awesome people and just have a good time … so feel free to come alone, or you can bring your spouse, friends, and/or relatives with you. Either way, this is going to be an event you will remember for a lifetime.

Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort Overview
The Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort is situated on the island’s northern coastline and occupies the longest stretch of beachfront in the resort town of Ocho Rios. Formely the Renaissance Jamaica Grande, this 730-room resort is the largest resort on the North Coast of Jamaica and rates 4 out of 5 stars by Travelers Choice. The resort closed its doors as the Renaissance Jamaica Grande at the end of August 2004 and is currently undergoing a multi- million dollar renovation. The property re-opens in March 2024 and is deemed to be one of Jamaica’s most exotic resorts.

Resort Features
The resort’s 730 guestrooms and suites are located in two towers separated by a spectacular open-air lobby overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean. Its features include pools, a mini-casino, duty-free shops, restaurants, bars, a night club, tennis courts and a fitness center offering steam, sauna and massage. Dunn’s River Falls is one of the essential excursions on the island, and there’s a mini version right on the property, cascading from the open-air lobby down into the fantastic pool complex below. This is definitely a ‘grande’ resort offering some interesting extras such as the orchid house and tranquillity garden in the hotel’s special ‘quiet side’. Dining options include Italian, Oriental, international buffets and Café Jamaique which serves until 2am - perfect for night owls who’ve been hitting the dance floor in Jamaica’N Me Crazy (the resort’s pumping night club). There’s live nightly entertainment, including the popular Carnival Jump-Up theme party. If you fancy a massage or body treatment, just pop over to the health club and fitness centre where such pampering delights are available.

Fun, Games, & Activities
The resort offers 3 swimming pools and 2 kids’ pools, 4 floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, and non- motorized water sports: aqua cycles, paddle boats, kayaks and surf bikes (snorkelling, windsurfing, parasailing and scuba diving are available for a small local charge). There is plenty of beach volleyball and daily organized activities including Club Mongoose for kids (2-12 years). There is a health club and fitness centre with aromatherapy, massages and reflexology (local charge). They even have a slot machine casino.
We will also offer group excursions as well as a number of Dance Fitness workouts including Cardio Fusion, Dance Trance, Cardio Hip-Hop, and more.
